Small Business Coaching

As a small business owner, you may be afraid that you can’t afford business coaching. If you are at the half-million or million-dollar level, a consultant can seem like a luxury you can’t fit into your budget–even if you think you could really use one. Small business coaching–like the kind you’ll get from Advanced Business Coach–is tailored to your needs and your budget.

I have clients all over the country, in many different industries and with many different budgets. My smallest client currently has fewer than 10 employees. My largest is a 10 million dollar business with almost 700 employees. Of course, many of my clients fall closer to the mean, and I would be able to work with a client outside this range, as well. I typically work with someone in a leadership position, and often end up serving in the capacity of a business manager, though not full time.

Some clients request between five and 10 hours per week of small business coaching during the duration of our work relationship, but the smallest companies may want no more than one or two. I am based near Boston, so I am able to work more regularly on-site with clients near that area. I have west coast clients with whom I work mostly over the phone or via video conferencing, but I am also able to fly out for consultations.

Effective Small Business Coaching Tailored to Your Needs

The form and substance of your small business coaching will depend entirely on what you want and what you need. Some leaders want a sounding board–a combination of an ally and mentor with whom they can speak candidly about all of their concerns, whether more professional or personal in nature. Some like the sense of assurance that comes from having a regular session scheduled to sit back, assess where they are in relation to their goals, and whether they need to adjust anything before they go too far in the wrong direction. If what you need, however, is very concrete work in a specific application or to improve a specific area of performance, we will diagnose that together and come up with a workable solution.
